The continuous drilling machine, LS Cutter, can efficiently excavate hard rock formations using mechanical drilling while reducing vibration and noise during excavation. It facilitates the formation of slits necessary for rock splitting methods, allowing for low-cost operations. In the LS Cutter method, a guide is inserted into the preceding hole, and a new hole is drilled parallel to the drilling bit, while the space between holes is crushed using a linear guide to create slits. This method allows for a slit width that is longer than the drilling diameter plus the space between holes compared to conventional methods, enabling a reduction in slit formation time and improving construction efficiency.
